Our Bar offers all the comforts of a traditional inn, serving keg beers, lagers and cask ales from our local area as well as an extensive wine list to compliment them.
If you are partial to a G&T (or a G and anything) then sample our vast collection of gins from all over the world including the Northeast of England. Our highly experienced bar staff will mix the gin of your choice with a complimenting tonic and garnish. We also stock a good selection of malt whiskies amongst the other spirits.
A roaring fire in the log burning stove provides a backdrop to a game of darts, dominoes or cribbage. If that is too hectic then a quite drink and a read of the daily paper will allow you to relax and unwind.
With traditional stone flooring, walkers (especially muddy ones) and dogs (muddy or clean) are welcome in our bar area. For more relaxed dining we serve the same food menus in the bar as in the dining room.
